Florida feels like WINTER this week - Just ask Frosty

Guess which snowman is made of cheese...

If you guessed the one surrounded by crackers, you are CORRECT! Mrs. Jenkins has a very creative sister. You should see her turkey wreath.

The Best Dressed Doors at Beauclerc

Chris Van Allsburg's Polar Express was the inspiration for the door decoration. Students just completed an author study of seven of his books and enjoyed comparing one movie to the book it was based on. Thank you, Chris Van Allsburg for all we learned as readers and writers.

Fourth graders partied in the PJ's all day

Bubble gum blowing contest, mini jigsaw puzzle contest and then eating, eating and more eating.

Ready, Set, Go

Next they played "Candy Cane Tug of War" which was followed by a windy "Snowman" relay race. Look at Frosty go.

A Graveyard for Dead Words

A sweet treat is a terrific way to end a fun filled week at Beauclerc Elementary School.

Dead Words Writing Celebration

Dead Words Party

Students made headstones for a "Word Graveyard." Using a thesaurus they made lists of stronger, more descriptive words to use in place of dull, boring words. Then we celebrated by decorating headstone cookies.
