I Pledge Allegiance to the FLAG

Look what Mrs. Jenkins received in the mail this week. It was a huge surprise to find an American flag flown for her class in Afghanistan for supporting the troops. Special thanks to Ssgt. Bryan Wright for sending the flag!

Holiday Spirit in Afghanistan

Students in Mrs. Donnelly and Jenkins' class sent cards and letters and this Christmas tree to their favorite Airman. The good news is the tree arrived on time for the holidays. Be safe Ssgt. Wright!

Fabulous Friday Fun

Friday was a super day in room 130. Students wrote thank you notes to the Cummer Museum tour guide, learned how to play Outburst with Mrs. Donnelly and enjoyed a video in their pajamas. Wonderful was to begin Winter Break.

Fantastic Day in Riverside

Fourth graders visited the Cummer Museum of Art this week. They learned all about Florida artists and pieces of art that featured Florida. The classes toured the museum and the beautiful English and Italian gardens and walked to the Riverside Memorial Park for a picnic lunch. It was a very fun day.

PARTY PARTY PARTY

What a terrific day! Mrs. Donnelly and Mrs. Jenkins' class had a delicious breakfast this morning which was followed by candy cane tug-o-war and a snowman relay race. After they finished making gifts to take home, the students watched the Polar Express and opened Stockings from their teachers.

Finished our First Novel

Fourth graders were brought to tears by the conclusion and epilogue of Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes this week. They had some great discussions about war and peace and discovered some long lasting cause-effect relationships. Here is Nicole modeling a pink, silk kimono like the one Sadako wore. And Calen is teaching his classmates how to fold paper cranes.

Doors are Decked out with Holiday Spirit

Mrs. Donnelly outdid herself again this year with a very clever door decoration.

Super Student of the Week

Aria was Student of the Week of November 29 in Mrs. Donnelly and Mrs. Jenkins' class because she is the kindest, sweetest student at Beauclerc. Aria also takes her school work very seriously. If she finds a task difficult - she rises to the challenge and never gives up. Thank you, Aria!
