Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

My sister and daughters and I did the American Cancer Society's 5K Making Strides Against Breast Cancer this weekend.  Thank you to my coworkers and these two sweet students, Raemon and Miranda,  who made donations that helped us to raise $747. 

Meet Lorax - Our Class Character Pumpkin

Children submitted their ideas for decorating a pumpkin like a book character.  The LORAX was the most popular choice.  So here is the finished product of some very creative fourth graders.

Understanding Cause and Effect in Our Reading

Fourth graders did a terrific job working with a small group to identify and explain cause - effect relationships with their classmates.
