Starting Literacy Week Off With a Bang!

This is the sixth annual Celebrate Literacy Week, Florida!  Today we began with Drop Everything And Read this morning in our class for 20 minutes which equaled 680 minutes for us.  On Wednesday we are having a door-decorating contest and as you can see we are ready to rock the judges.  Our students chose favorite book character as our door theme, and they voted for Harry Potter as their favorite character.  Then our incredibly talented, Mrs. Donnelly created this masterpiece.  Look closely to see the cheering fans in the background! We are looking forward to our mystery reader and buddy reading with first graders.
